Bit About the Client
Loftnix Developments Ltd isn’t new to the game. They’ve been handling loft conversions, extensions and renovations around Greater London and Essex for years.
People know them locally, word of mouth is strong and their projects speak for themselves. But their website?
That was another story.
Where It Started
Their old site had been left to age badly: clunky design, thin content. At some point, someone had decided to bulk it out with AI-generated text.
Loads of pages, all saying the same nothing. Google noticed. Bit by bit, the site dropped out of the search results. By the time we stepped in, most of their service pages weren’t showing anywhere.
The big question was on the table: keep the domain or walk away from it. Google penalties aren’t fun and trust takes time to rebuild. Starting fresh would’ve been easier… but also meant throwing away years of history.
The Challenge
That meant rebuilding from the ground up: design, content, technical SEO, everything (the kind of rebuild we handle under Web Development Essex).
No more filler text. No more bloated code. It had to feel: professional, fast and above all – human.
What We Did
We stripped it back to zero and rebuilt properly:
- Brand new design – a clean, modern construction website built to be easy to use.
- Fresh content written from scratch, based on their real services and experience.
- A proper structure so Google could crawl and index the site again (these are the fundamentals behind Website SEO Essex).
- Technical SEO fixes to clear out the errors and issues that had piled up.
- High-quality project photos instead of generic stock.
It was a full rebuild in the proper sense of the word – the kind of work we cover under Web Development Essex.
The aim wasn’t just to have a “nice-looking” site. It was about showing Loftnix as the experts they really are – not some copy-paste outfit with recycled text.

What Happened Next
It took time. Google doesn’t hand back trust overnight. But slowly, things began shifting. Pages started reappearing in search results.
Enquiries trickled in again – a few new prospects, conversations that hadn’t been happening for months. For a company that had been basically invisible online, it was the start of turning the tide.

Before we get to what the client said, here’s the simplest way to show what changed.
Before vs After
Here’s the simplest way to describe what changed, without overcomplicating it:
| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Indexation | Patchy coverage | More consistent coverage of key pages |
| Site structure | Bloated and unclear | Cleaner hierarchy and navigation |
| Performance feel | Sluggish in places | Faster and more stable day-to-day |
Client's Words
“We honestly weren’t sure the domain could be saved, but the new site looks professional and more importantly – people are finding us again. We’ve already had a handful of enquiries we’d never have seen before.”
Wrapping Up
This wasn’t just a redesign. It was about undoing the damage of AI-filled content and giving Google (and customers) a reason to trust the brand again. Loftnix went from deindexed and forgotten to back in front of potential clients – exactly where they belong.
